All Saints Long Ashton & Avon Gorge Hotel Wedding Photographer Bristol

Sophie and Joe’s wedding on May 9th began in Bishopsworth, where the morning had a relaxed but energetic atmosphere as preparations came together. The house was full of movement, excitement and anticipation as the day started to build.

A fun, high energy start was set early on thanks to content creator Steph Hamilton of Steph Hamilton, who helped bring a party atmosphere into the morning while everything came together naturally.

The ceremony took place at All Saints Church Long Ashton, a traditional and atmospheric church that created a strong sense of occasion. The vows were emotional, with natural reactions throughout and a real feeling of connection between everyone present.

Afterwards, guests moved to the Avon Gorge Hotel where the day opened up into warm sunshine, terrace drinks and views across Bristol. The weather allowed everyone to spill outside, creating a relaxed, social atmosphere that carried beautifully into the reception.

The speeches were a real highlight of the day, delivered by the groom, his father, the bride and the best man. Each brought a different energy, from emotional moments to genuinely hilarious stories that had the entire room reacting throughout.

Later in the evening, the bride shared dances with her father, mother and nan, creating some of the most meaningful moments of the day.

The celebration continued with live music from Distractions Band, keeping the dancefloor full right through the night.

From start to finish, this was a wedding filled with real moments, natural emotion and a strong sense of story, captured in a documentary style by Mike Greenhill Photography.
