There is something incredibly special about a wedding that feels completely true to the couple, and Alex and Scott’s wedding at Clearwell Castle was exactly that. Relaxed, emotional, full of personality and surrounded by the people who matter most, their March wedding was unforgettable from beginning to end.
Despite a showery spring day, the atmosphere inside the castle was warm from the moment guests arrived. Family and friends gathered from across the country to celebrate Alex and Scott, and every part of the day reflected who they are as a couple, fun, welcoming and full of life.
A Romantic Ceremony at Clearwell Castle
Clearwell Castle is one of those venues that feels cinematic in every season, and the dramatic skies outside only added to the atmosphere. The historic interiors created the perfect setting for an intimate and emotional ceremony, with candlelight, laughter and more than a few happy tears throughout.
One of the things I loved most about this wedding was how present everyone was. No rushing, no pressure, just two people genuinely enjoying every second of finally getting married.
Showers Outside, Celebrations Inside
March weather always keeps you guessing, but Alex and Scott embraced every part of the day. Between showers, we made the most of the castle grounds for portraits, with umbrellas in hand and dramatic clouds creating the perfect backdrop. Some of my favourite images from the day came from those quieter moments together outside while guests relaxed inside the castle.
The rain never once affected the energy of the wedding. If anything, it brought everyone closer together and made the celebrations inside feel even more lively.
Drag Entertainment During the Wedding Breakfast
One of the standout moments of the day was the incredible drag entertainment during the wedding breakfast. It completely transformed the atmosphere in the best possible way, bringing huge laughs, brilliant audience interaction and so much energy into the room.
It was the perfect reflection of Alex and Scott’s personalities. Their wedding was never about following tradition for the sake of it, it was about creating an experience that everyone would remember.
As the evening celebrations began, the entertainment continued and the dance floor stayed packed all night.
Fireworks to End the Night
To finish the celebrations, guests headed outside for a spectacular fireworks display over the castle grounds. After a day filled with emotion, laughter and celebration, it was the perfect ending to an unforgettable wedding.
Alex and Scott created a wedding that felt stylish, personal and full of joy from start to finish, and it was an absolute privilege to capture it all.
